Create Colorful Fall Leaves!

20 11 2008

Wendy, from the blog Mother Rising, thought up a colorful way for kids to celebrate fall! All you will need are coffee filters, watercolors or markers, scissors, and grommets (which are optional).

  1. By either using your own designs or tracing the leaves from this printable, create outlines of your fall leaves on coffee filters.
  2. Cut out the leaf designs.
  3. Paint or draw on your leaves with watercolors or markers.
  4. Sprinkle the leaves with some water to let the colors blend.
  5. Poke a small hole on the end of your leaves if you wish to hang them up. Grommets work nicely, but they are not necessary.

Now the family will be able to admire leaves that are a wide array of colors- what a fun and easy way to make fall a little brighter!
